LKV annual report 2023 – Gut Hülsenberg is one of the best farms in Schleswig-Holstein

Gut Hülsenberg is the No. 1 farm in Schleswig-Holstein in terms of lifetime production in the size category 200-399 cows.

Every year, the LKV in Schleswig-Holstein publishes the milk inspection data of the affiliated farms. The dairy herd at Gut Hülsenberg was once again characterised by outstanding figures.

• With 12,989 kg of milk and 944 kg of fat and protein, Gut Hülsenberg's dairy herd is once again one of the top farms in Schleswig-Holstein in terms of milk yield by fat and protein kg.
• Gut Hülsenberg's oldest cow Karja is currently in 6th place of all living cows in Schleswig-Holstein in terms of lifetime production (147,000 kg). Karja has already calved 12 times and survived everything well.
• It has almost become the norm, but no less impressive: Gut Hülsenberg's cows are ranked 1st of ALL farms in Schleswig-Holstein in terms of lifetime production. 23.7 kg milk/lifeday and 55,991 kg lifetime production from a total of 53 cows.

High yields and long lifespans are possible - if the management, the feeding concept including silage quality and the environmental conditions (barn comfort) are harmonised.
