Kühe auf Gut Hülsenberg

The Landeskontrollverband Schleswig-Holstein (State Monitoring Association Schleswig-Holstein) has published its annual report. The high performance level of the Hülsenberg dairy herd was demonstrated once again with an average herd performance of 12,042 kg milk at 3.86 % fat and 3.23 % protein, or 853 kg of fat and protein. Gut Hülsenberg took second place for kg of fat and protein in the category of companies with over 200 cows.  The only companies to achieve better rankings this year were comparable with Gut Hülsenberg but milk three-times daily rather than two.

The Hülsenberg dairy cow Frauke, sired by Aaron, stood out with a lifetime productivity of 151,710 kg. Unfortunately, Frauke had to leave the Hülsenberg herd in the middle of January after suffering an abortion. Naomie, sired by Stromer, was prominent in the highest 305-day lactations. In the fourth lactation, she delivered an outstanding 18,397 kg milk with 3.87 % fat and 3.12 % protein, in other words 1,287 kg of fat and protein.

We were particularly pleased with Gut Hülsenberg’s performance in lifetime productivity and lifetime efficiency. We were particularly pleased with Gut Hülsenberg’s performance in lifetime productivity and lifetime efficiency. The cows taken during the previous year of monitoring provided an average lifetime productivity of 40,253 kg milk and therefore, a lifetime efficiency of 19.9 kg per day of life.

Overall, the LKV herd comparison confirmed once again that the Hülsenberg herd – fed with the innovative Schaumann active ingredients – not only represents high herd performance, but also cows with long lifecycles.
